Join us for a grounding, 60-minute mindful movement practice led by Melissa Nkomo, a certified mindfulness practitioner and the founder of Kunye—a modern mindfulness studio in Vancouver. The practice will be an example of The Slow Down, a signature Kunye class that blends calming breathwork with accessible postures to bring you into a state of moving meditation and dynamic stretching. All levels welcome!

The Well will be accepting donations at the event before and after class via cash or card payment. Donations will go towards supporting Vancouver Black Library and Kunye.

TICKETS

Events are free with an admission ticket ($29) or a membership. Registration required. Your Membership or ticket includes admission to the Gallery.

ABOUT THE GUEST

Kunye is a multi-disciplinary wellness studio that creates personal care tools and intentional experiences to inspire connection and encourage mindful living. Founded by Melissa Nkomo, Kunye emphasizes the physical, mental and emotional aspects of well-being. All of the brand’s work—from sustainable skincare to the design and facilitation of wellness experiences—is directly informed by the convergence of 5 primary values: mindfulness, sustainability, inclusion, storytelling and intention.

Melissa Nkomo is a mindfulness practitioner and founder of Kunye. Melissa marries the best of ancient wisdom with contemporary science to bring the power of breath, consciousness and embodiment to individuals and organizations across Canada. Melissa is a Lululemon ambassador, a role she uses to champion more inclusive representations of wellness and access for marginalized and under-represented individuals in Vancouver.
